103

Tonight’s NHL Main slate consists of 3 playoff games. Two of these games feature a home team that is at least a -185 favorite: Winnipeg and Pittsburgh. Only the Philly v Pittsburgh game has an over/under of 6. Its playoff time! 16 teams are on the hunt for Lord Stanley’s cup. Every team is full of superstars that have helped their team get into the postseason. I’ve narrowed down a strong pool of #playmakers to consider when building your FanDuel lineups tonight. Let’s head into the weekend with a little extra cash in our pockets shall we!?!

Center

Sidney Crosby | Pittsburgh Penguins | $9,000

There definitely isn’t a shortage of expensive players to choose from in the playoffs. To save money, adding Rust along side Crosby will help offset Sid the Kid’s high cost. Pittsburgh is going into this game as the team with the best odds to win today, along with the game that has the highest total projected score. Both goalies in this game have a save percentage lof less than .910%. Crosby is coming into the playoffs in a nice groove, scoring double digit points in 9 straight games.

Wing

Kyle Connor | Winnipeg Jets | $5,300

Here he is again, making my list of players to target for tonight’s games. By skating alongside Wheeler ($7,300) and Scheifele ($7,800), Kyle Connor should get ample opportunity to get accrue points tonight. I’m not saying it will be easy, as Minnesota will start Devin Dubnyk between the pipes, but there is only one away team with a losing record playing tonight – and that is the Minnesota Wild.  Dubnyk on the road this season has a 2.97 GAA with .907 save percentage. Connor has reached double digit points in 9 of his last 13 games going into the postseason, including 4 games with 30+ points.

The Jets are ready to make a playoff push with Kyle Connor and Blake Wheeler

Defense

Dustin Byfuglien | Winnipeg Jets | $6,100

Both Byfuglien and Letang look like great picks for tonight’s matchups, and both are coming in at the same cost of $6,100. I prefer Byfuglien’s consistency heading into the playoffs. The Jets top D-man has scored double digits in his previous 7 straight games, to go with 31 shots. Winnipeg has a top 5 power play this season, and that should add some value to selecting Byfuglien for our rosters tonight.

Goalie

Connor Hellebuyck | Winnipeg Jets | $8,700

Well, Hellebuyck is finally costing more about where I expected his price to be at all season. Last time he played, he only cost $8,400. In his last win, he picked up his 44th win of the season. With that win, he set the record for the most wins in a season by an American goaltender, beating out Tom Barrasso’s previous record of 43 wins in the 1992-1993 regular season. I believe Hellebuyck has the ability to carry the Jets to the Cup, and as long as his matchup is good, he will probably be my favorite netminder throughout the playoffs. To go with Helle’s 44 wins, he also has a 2.36 GAA and a .924 save percentage this season. Winnipeg are -185 home favorites for tonight, and we anticipate it will translate into +12 points for the win on FanDuel.
