Tonight’s NHL Main slate consists of 6 games. Three of these games feature teams that are at least a -170 favorite: Toronto, Washington, and Colorado. Four of these games have an over/under of at least 6: Toronto vs. NY Islanders, Tampa Bay vs. NY Rangers, Carolina vs. Washington, and Chicago vs. Colorado. I’ve narrowed down a strong pool of #playmakers to consider when building your FanDuel lineups tonight. Let’s head into Easter weekend with a little extra cash in our pockets!
Auston Matthews | Toronto Maple Leafs | $7,800
Oh boy, Toronto is playing tonight. If you’ve been reading up on me recently, you should know that I’ll be signing myself up for Auston Matthews once again tonight. His cost has gone up $200, but he has not shown any signs of slowing down. Until he does, and his cost stays in the seven thousand range, he deserves consideration. It also adds to his value that he is playing in the game with the highest over/under of the night. Let’s see how many Easter eggs he can get in the back of the net tonight!
Matthews is due for a big game
Mikko Rantanen | Colorado Avalanche | $7,200
Sure, you could go with the expensive option (Alex Ovechkin) for $8,800, but doing so wouldn’t leave you much salary to work with. Chicago will be starting Collin Delia in goal tonight, after playing only 45 minutes in his first game of the season last night. Colorado’s first line hasn’t come through big in three straight games. Look for them to snap out of it tonight, and put some points on the board.
Tyson Barrie | Colorado Avalanche | $5,700
Looking to add to my stash of Colorado players tonight with Tyson Barrie. With Barrie, you get a cost efficient D-man that can get the job done on both ends of the ice. To this point, Barrie has amassed 52 points in 63 games. If Colorado can put some shots past Chicago’s backup accountant goalie, or whoever he is, look for Barrie to get in on the action.
Marc-Andre Fleury | Vegas Golden Knights | $8,500
Fleury got beat up by Arizona the other night, but I’m looking for him to bounce back tonight at home vs St. Louis. Fleury has an impressive 2.15 GAA with a .931 save percentage, for the Golden Knights who are 27-10-2 at home. Personally, I’m looking forward to watching the former Stanley Cup winner stop all of the jelly beans shot at him tonight. The Blues are 23rd in scoring, while sitting at 12th in shooting.
Marc Andre Fleury has found his footing with the Golden Knights
Other Players To Target
Semyon Varlamov | G | Colorado Avalanche | $8,200
Evgeny Kuznetsov | C | Washington Capitals | $7,700
Jonathan Marchessault | W | Vegas Golden Knights | $6,700
