  • Overall Record: 538-481-22
  • Season Record: 99-94-4

Western Carolina vs Mercer, Over 157.5

  • Both of these teams are 7-1 to the over this season. Mercer plays at a very fast tempo but is not by any stretch the most efficient team defensively. The Catamounts move up and down the floor with a bit less haste, but easily have the worst defense in the Southern Conference
  • Western Carolina averages 80 points per game while Mercer is not far behind at 79. They have been clearing the totals by an average of over ten points and this matchup is built for a high scoring outcome. I think the loser of this one gets awfully close to 80 points with ease

Toledo -3.5 at Akron

  • So far this season Toledo is an outstanding 12-2 against the spread. I think there is a case for the Rockets to earn an at large bid this season if they are unable to close out the MAC tournament. They have a very impressive resume with their three losses coming to very stiff competition
  • Akron does a good job keeping opponents out of the paint but Toledo is still going to be the far superior team when it comes to scoring the basketball. Their offense has been humming and I do not see them running into very many issues on the road here in Akron today

Colorado -7.5 vs Stanford

  • Colorado has only lost games on the road this season and since the start of conference play they look like one of the best teams in the country. They are 9-4 against the spread and rank inside the top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency. I will ride the hot hand here today
  • Freshman Keeshawn Barthelemy is returning to Colorado today adding even more depth to this squad. They seemingly always have the cardio advantage playing here at Boulder and that holds true in this matchup. Especially with Stanford dealing with several injuries of their own

UCLA -15 vs Washington

  • The Bruins were an easy winner for me on Thursday this week. They beat Washington State by 30 points to easily cover the spread. I would argue that the Huskies are an even worse team defensively. We will likely see a similar performance replicated here this evening
  • While UCLA is usually slowing down the tempo, I think they match the pace of Washington with little to no issues today. They have the best offense in the Pac-12 and have shot 45 percent from beyond the arc since the beginning of conference play

Tennessee -18 vs Vanderbilt

  • I have been targeting this game for a few days now since it’s initial cancellation. Tennessee is the best team in the Southeastern Conference and Vanderbilt is quite clearly the worst. The Commodores do not have the experience or defensive prowess to compete in this matchup
  • The three conference wins for the Volunteers have come by an average of 13 points. Seeing as how that came against the likes of Texas A&M, Arkansas and Missouri, you have to expect their best performance has yet to come. It will today against the league’s bottom feeder

I am confident in every pick that I provide and play them myself. College basketball is unpredictable and that’s why we love it, so always bet smart!
